A striking example of Scandinavian Modern lighting in a pendant that features a substantial textured glass shade, is as heavy as it is beautiful, suspended from brass hardware, creating a sophisticated interplay of light, texture, and form.

The pendant features a substantial, heavy crystal glass shade with a deeply textured prismatic surface that beautifully refracts and diffuses light.
When illuminated, the surface comes alive with sparkle and depth, while the brass accents provide warmth and contrast. Of note: The glass, a very heavy piece of glass with 2 distinct patterns.
The outside exhibits square inward facing pyramids while the inside has vertical grooves that line up with the point of the pyramid.
What does this mean?
This tells me the glass was almost certainly designed as a unified optical structure, not simply decorative.

Think about what happens:

The interior vertical cuts gather and channel light.
The light then passes through substantial glass thickness.
It exits through the apexes of the exterior pyramids.
Each pyramid acts like a tiny prism.

Held to the incoming sunlight, the colors of the rainbow make their presence!

All parts of the fixture have been cleaned, examined and where needed, repiars were made. On this piece no repairs were needed.

**If interested in this unique pendant, I can, if you like, remove the European cable that integrates an on/off switch into a modern white cable and new canopy in order for it to be installed in the common ceiling electrical boxes made for lighting.
