He studied at the academy in Leuven. At first he was active as an artistic blacksmith, creating sculptures from iron and copper. After World War II he settled for a while in Saint-Martens-Latem, where he met Permek and De Saedeleer. He began to paint landscapes, nudes, seascapes and floral decorations. Oil on canvas.
