Original hand-painted wood real estate trade sign advertising A. J. Bopp & Co. of Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood. Dating to the 1920s or early 1930s, the sign retains its early black painted ground with gold lettering, shaped central banner, North Clark Street address, and period Rogers Park telephone number. The substantial wood panel and hand-painted typography reflect the commercial street signage used by neighborhood businesses during the early 20th century.
