Early 20th-century pharmacy sign featuring reverse-painted "PRESCRIPTIONS" lettering in cream with gilt shadow detailing against a black glass ground. Housed in a black-painted molded wood frame, the sign was intended for display above or behind a pharmacist's counter to identify the prescription department. The restrained typography, reflective glass surface, and gilt accents give the utilitarian commercial sign a refined apothecary presentation. Retains its rear backing panel, hanging wire, and mounting hardware.

Wood frame exhibits scratches, finish wear, and abrasions. Rear backing panel, hanging wire, and mounting hardware remain present. No obvious cracks or breaks to the glass observed.
