A set of rustic bistro-style chairs, likely of central european origin (switzerland, austria, or germany), dating from the 1950s-1960s.
each chair features a characteristic t-shaped back with two arched cutouts, a thick, rounded top rail, and three vertical supports. The solid wood seat, trapezoidal in shape and slightly concave, offers natural comfort. It rests on four turned legs adorned with decorative ringed finials.
the wood, presumably stained beech, displays a beautiful, uniform golden honey patina with light, natural wear consistent with age. The dowel joint, reinforced with metal fittings under the seat, is typical of the mass-produced, handcrafted construction of the period—a solid and time-tested design.
good overall condition, with wear consistent with age.
dimensions per chair: h 85 cm × w 40 cm × d 38 cm — total weight of the set: 40 kg.
