Its turned wooden frame elegantly imitates the characteristic segments and knots of bamboo—a refined craftsmanship that was very fashionable during the Japonisme period. The wood, stained a reddish-brown mahogany, has a beautiful warm patina with subtle highlights, showing light wear in the contact areas, consistent with its age and authenticity.

At the four corners, the uprights extend beyond the frame and terminate in delicate finials shaped like balusters and decorative finials, adding the ornamental detail that gives the piece its unique character. The original glass (45 x 29 cm) displays the pitting and slight haze typical of aged silvering—an unmistakable sign of its age.

Frame dimensions: 61 x 46 cm — Weight: 3 kg.
