A distinctive set of six dining chairs by Erling Torvits, produced by Sørø Stolefabrik in Denmark during the 1960s.
Crafted in richly figured rosewood, the chairs feature a light construction with slender tapered legs. Particularly distinctive are the sculpted backrests, composed of three gently curved horizontal elements and a beautifully shaped top rail.
The upholstered seats provide comfortable seating and create a warm contrast with the deep tones of the rosewood. Their balanced proportions give the set a light and refined Scandinavian appearance.
Subtle curves, refined joinery and carefully shaped details reflect the craftsmanship characteristic of high-quality Danish modern design from this period. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution
