Standing on its hind legs, the cat extends its front paws wide, while its long tail forms an elegant loop on the floor. Its almost anthropomorphic attitude gives it a unique presence and makes it a true eye-catcher. The deliberately stylized treatment nevertheless maintains a particularly meticulous attention to detail in the face, proportions, and overall appearance. Its silhouette and sculptural character evoke, in some ways, the world of Diego Giacometti, notably his interest in stylized and lifelike animal representations. Its dark bronze and considerable weight ensure excellent stability, while its design allows for display directly on the floor. A rare and decorative piece, as surprising as it is endearing, that instantly adds character to any interior. See less
