Mid-century lighted storefront sign salesman sample manufactured by General Electric Co. as a demonstration of the company's Lexan polycarbonate signage material. The double-sided sign features molded "Sunshine Pets" graphics with a colorful parrot motif housed within a steel cabinet. Designed for presentation to businesses considering updated commercial signage, the sample retains its original wiring and a top-mounted switch controlling three lighting modes: rapid color cycling, a slower cycle, and static illumination. The currently installed bulbs cycle between red and green.
