The multi-armed deity is portrayed playing the veena, surrounded by attendant figures, mythical creatures and elaborate ornamental carving.

Deeply carved in high relief with extensive undercutting, the panel displays particularly fine detailing throughout the jewelry, headdress, garments, musical instrument and surrounding figures. The wood has developed an attractive warm, naturally aged patina. The reverse retains a largely unfinished surface with a later hanging bracket. See less
