Originally designed as an advertising display for a tobacco or cigar shop, this folk-art piece features a richly textured, polychrome hand painted finish. The figure is styled with detailed layered beadwork necklaced and sculptured long hair. It stands as an exceptional piece of Americana and a bold decorative accent or rustic, eclectic, or Western interiors. It stands 20 inches high, 12 inches wide and 7 inches deep. It is quite heavy and because it is made of chalkware shipping will be an extra charge due to double boxing. Made around 1900-1910 this piece has endured the space of time quite well. It has had gentle wear. I was able to obtain this piece from an estate where a gentleman collected antiquities, purchasing several pieces of this kind. See less
