Wall mirror in the Georgian / Chippendale taste: a broken swan-neck pediment centred on a turned urn finial, pierced and scrolled side ears and a shaped apron below, around a plain rectangular plate. Mahogany-finished hardwood frame. 20th century; a reproduction of an 18th-century form, sold as one and not as a period mirror. Tall and narrow, sized to hang over a chest, console or hall table.
The back board carries a pencilled shop number and a finisher's signature, photographed here. We have not matched it to a maker and make no attribution on the strength of it.
Approx. 24 in W x 2 in D x 48 in H.
Condition: good. Sound frame; hangs flat.
