Decorative shelf made of a brass shell bracket with a wooden shelf above it. The shelf has a 6 inch recessed groove so that the edge of an object like a picture frame can sit in the groove to prevent it from sliding off.
The main body of the brass shell that serves as the support bracket is painted in chocolate and silver, while the bottom and background are painted in green and burgundy.
Although the brass bracket is meant to be a stylized shell, the hand painted colors make this piece look like a charming, playful owl’s face.
The shelf can be attached to the wall with the support on the back of the bracket.
