Seven deep drawers in richly figured oak have their original brass label holders and bail pulls. Each drawer runs on metal slides and is fitted with its original olive-green steel liner, divided into compartments. The cabinet has paneled oak sides and a warm, aged patina, and it is both a striking piece of American office history and very practical storage today.
It is a great fit for a home office, studio or library. It also works well for flat storage of records, art supplies, craft materials, textiles or collectibles, or as a statement piece in an entry or dining room.
Marked inside with the Globe-Wernicke Cincinnati stamp (Catalog No. G25 CI 58, Finish No. 278½), along with a Globe-Wernicke paper label.

The finish shows age-appropriate wear, with light scratches and some darkening on the lower drawer fronts and the top surface. There is a small split along the top front rail near the IRS decal, and the decal shows crazing and small losses. The steel drawer liners have paint wear, light surface rust and some spotting, most visible in one drawer. The brass hardware has an untouched patina. Please see photos. less
