This is one piece of a large collection of Ed Kay's work which I will be offering for sale over the next few months.

Nelson Aldrich Rockefeller (July 8, 1908 – January 26, 1979) was a prominent American Political Figure! A member of the Republican Party and the wealthy Rockefeller family, he was the 49th governor of New York from 1959 to 1973. He was the leader of the moderate faction of his party, known as the Rockefeller Republicans. He was the 41st vice president of the United States, serving from 1974 to 1977 under President Gerald Ford.

The Kay Collection includes ‘political statement’ paintings, portraits of various political figures and quite a few Presidents. A few of the paintings have been enhanced by Mr. Kay who has chosen to add a specific item about that person such as a USPS postage stamp or a newspaper article. Most of the pieces have a handwritten note by Ed on the back either naming the subject or revealing something about them. Kay rarely signed his work.
This collection was purchased over 20 years ago by an individual from a corporation who originally had bought it from Ed Kay’s estate. See less
