Elegant pair of mid-20th century French Directoire-style walnut armchairs, featuring gracefully curved open arms and finely carved details at the arm supports and joints. The warm walnut frames display an attractive aged patina and restrained Neoclassical styling characteristic of the Directoire tradition.
The chairs are upholstered in a handsome green and gold floral damask, with cushioned seats and upholstered backs. The upholstery is a later replacement
