Titled Cedar Post Crew, the scene captures the quieter side of Western ranch life. Rather than emphasizing action or drama, Eaton places the figures and horses within a broad natural landscape of trees, open pasture and distant mountains. Warm earth tones and soft greens give the work an inviting, traditional character.

The print is signed by Valoy Eaton in pencil and numbered 9/450 beneath the image. Eaton’s printed signature and © 1984 also appear within the composition.
