An antique Chinese glazed earthenware incense and lamp wall stand, attributed to the Guangdong region, possibly Dongguan, and likely dating to the Qing Dynasty to early 20th century.
The architectural-form vessel is constructed with a rectangular pierced framework supporting two raised circular receptacles flanking a central ribbed vessel, suggesting use in traditional incense burning, illumination, or domestic ritual. The heavy pottery body retains areas of reddish-orange glaze beneath a dark, richly aged surface, with considerable wear from age and use.
Dongguan and the wider Guangdong region have a long history of incense culture and the production of utilitarian and ritual ceramics.
