Manufactured by General Motors, this sleek, aerodynamic chrome piece was designed for the 1955 and 1956 Pontiac, Chiefton, star, chief, and Safari station wagon models.

Commonly referred to by collectors as the batwing or Jet wing design, it’s sweeping Chevron wings, beautifully capture the atomic era, optimism and aviation inspired styling dominant in Automotive engineering during this era.

Design and utility:
This piece features the sculpted chrome housing (bearing GM casting number 519309) Which originally held the iconic illuminated translucent chief head insert. While missing the loose site, insert, the striking geometric form functions magnificently as a standalone, sculptural object, an industrial weight, desk, art, or a centerpiece for a retro garage or Man cave.

Dimensions: 15” (wing to wing) X 10” (nose to center between wing tips) x 2.5” (standing off the ground) See less
