“Marbles” 1969
Ivan Chermayeff was a British born American graphic designer and illustrator that also worked in mixed media and small sculpture.
The piece belongs to his acclaimed "Word/Script Pattern" series from the late 60s through 70s. In this distinctive style, Chermayeff combined fluid, elegant calligraphy with structured, energetic splatters of color.
