Charming vintage ceramic pendant light featuring hand-painted green birds and botanical motifs on a warm white ground.
The lantern is decorated throughout with delightful stylized birds surrounded by leaves, flowers and scrolling botanical details. The hand-painted decoration is complemented by pale green accents outlining the pierced arched openings, giving the piece a particularly charming and distinctive character.
The architectural lantern form features a series of Gothic-inspired arched openings that allow the light to filter through the ceramic structure. Aged brass-tone fittings and chain provide a warm contrast to the white and green ceramic.
Particularly lovely is the coordinating ceramic ceiling canopy, also decorated by hand with green botanical motifs, making this a beautifully complete vintage lighting fixture.
The lamp would work beautifully in a country kitchen, entrance hall, bedroom, reading corner or intimate dining space, and would complement French country, cottage, traditional and eclectic interiors.
