Rug in dark red with elephant footprint motif. The main material is wool, as is the pile of the rug. The rug is hand-knotted with a knot density of around 160,000 knots per m2. Provenance: Afghanistan. The rug is about 20 years old. The condition is excellent, with no worn or otherwise damaged areas. All-wool rugs from Afghan production are very durable.
