Alice specialized in painting flowers and still lifes. with her mother and sister, she became members of the Cercle des Femmes Peintres in Belgium, founded by the Berthe art society to improve the exhibition of women artists. Alice also regularly exhibited at international exhibitions, such as at the Palace of Fine Arts in Chicago. She was born in Brussels on 9.9.1857 and died on 4.7.1957 in Elsene. Painting technique: pastel on cardboard. There is a framer's label on the back. The painting is signed in the lower left corner. Condition: excellent. Date: around 1905. Provenance: Belgium.
