Floor candlestick by Alfred Schäfter (1902–1970), made in Germany around 1930.
Hammered brass; the candlestick rests on an organically curved, four-pointed, star-shaped base. Three delicate, three-dimensionally curved brass struts rise elegantly. The shallow, gently inward-curving drip tray balances perfectly on the slender strut structure. A spike in its center secures a large pillar candle.
Underside: engraved company logo "AS".
