Ole wanscher rungstedlund two-door cabinet, p. Jeppesen, denmark, circa 1970
a refined example of danish modern design by ole wanscher, this two-door cabinet is part of the celebrated rungstedlund collection, produced by p. Jeppesens møbelfabrik in denmark.
the rungstedlund series was inspired by rungstedlund, the historic home of danish author karen blixen, where ole wanscher was a frequent guest and friend. The collection reflects wanscher's characteristic approach to furniture design, combining refined proportions, traditional danish cabinetmaking, and understated functionality.
the cabinet features a beautifully crafted wooden case, two doors, and an original brass key. Its elegant, restrained design makes it suitable as a storage cabinet, dining-room cabinet, sideboard, or statement piece in a living room or study.
a timeless example of danish scandinavian furniture from the late 20th century, particularly suited to interiors focused on danish modern, mid-century modern, and scandinavian design.
