The cup features a deep, rounded bowl form with a slightly flared rim and a short foot, accented with double blue bands at the rim and base. The exterior is painted against a creamy white ground with a lively "Bamboo Reporting Peace" (竹报平安) scene: a small bird with grey, brown, and black plumage perches on slender, arching bamboo stalks with green and yellow-green leaves. Beside the bamboo, a large, luxuriant peony blossom in vibrant pink and a smaller purple flower bloom among rocks and grasses, accompanied by delicate buds. The reverse side bears a four-character inscription in black calligraphy reading "竹报平安" (Zhu Bao Ping An), which translates to "Bamboo Reports Peace," a classic motif symbolizing the arrival of good news and tranquility, accompanied by two small red seal marks. The base bears a six-character iron-red Qianlong seal mark reading "大清乾隆年製" (Made in the Great Qing Qianlong Period), indicating it is a vintage revival piece in the Qianlong style. A highly decorative and collectible piece for tea enthusiasts.
