A striking vintage 1970s Asian Modern console table attributed to Baker Furniture. This sculptural piece features a richly textured, black lacquered grasscloth-style finish, an elegant rectangular top with a stepped edge, and distinctive Ming-inspired legs.
The combination of traditional Chinese-inspired design and textured black lacquer creates a sophisticated statement piece. Its narrow proportions make it particularly well suited to an entryway, behind a sofa, or as a dramatic accent in a living room.
A closely comparable pair is currently offered by From Paris to Palm Beach, also attributed to Baker Furniture.
This particular example has visible vintage wear, including scattered chips and areas of lacquer loss that reveal a reddish underlying finish, especially along the tabletop edges and lower legs. Please review all photographs for condition details.
