This is a charming vintage porcelain brush pot , decorated in the classic blue and white palette. The pot features a cylindrical form with a slightly rounded rim and a flat, unglazed base. The exterior is finely painted with a lively scene of birds perched among blossoming plum branches, a classic Chinese motif symbolizing resilience, purity, and the arrival of spring. The composition includes detailed plum blossoms, buds, leaves, and bamboo-like foliage, rendered in varying tones of underglaze blue. The base bears a rare and specific inscription in underglaze blue reading "美研室" (Meiyan Studio), "瓷厂" (Porcelain Factory), and the date "一九六六年" (1966), indicating this is a vintage piece from a Chinese porcelain factory, likely produced during the Cultural Revolution period. This is a highly collectible scholar's object with historical significance.
