Large-Scale Palette-Knife Rocky Mountain Scene, 56.5" x 32" Framed
Caroll Forseth was raised in Northern Alberta as was one of nine children born to Norwegian immigrants homesteading in Canada. Although his surroundings, as a child, did not afford him the luxury of art lessons, he showed early art talent. Today, about 20 years into a painting career, he focuses with brush, palette knife and oil paint on the beauty of landscape, often the rugged and majestic Rocky Mountains.
Bring the quiet grandeur of the Rockies into your home with this large, original landscape painting — a serene mountain lake scene rendered in rich, textured brushwork and signed "Forseth" in the lower right corner. The composition is classic and commanding: snow-capped peaks rise behind a glassy alpine lake, framed by dense stands of pine and a winding dirt path through the foreground brush. The heavy, built-up paint application on the mountain faces and tree masses gives the work real dimensionality — this is a painting meant to be seen in person, not just photographed.
The canvas is presented in a substantial carved and gilded composite frame with floral corner and center ornaments, the kind of statement frame that turns a painting into a focal point for an entryway, living room, or lodge-style den.
Highlights:
• Original hand-painted landscape, signed "Forseth" lower right
• Mountain, lake, and pine forest composition in a cool blue/gray/white and warm green/ochre palette
• Oversized gallery scale — 56.5" x 32" framed
• Ornate carved gilt wood frame with floral ornament detailing
• Canvas listed by the seller as acrylic
A striking, ready-to-hang original landscape with real presence — the kind of piece that anchors a room. Serious inquiries welcome; please ask any questions about size, back-of-canvas markings, or condition before bidding or buying.

The gilt frame shows the kind of light wear on the raised ornament that's typical of age and handling — nothing dramatic, just honest patina.
