Bring a little quiet winter woods charm into your space with this vintage original oil painting on canvas. It's a peaceful snow-covered forest path scene, lined with tall birch and deciduous trees still holding onto a few golden autumn leaves, opening up to a soft hazy blue-grey clearing in the distance. You can see the visible brushwork and texture in the paint (especially in the snow highlights and bark), so this is a genuine hand-painted piece, not a print. Signed "D. Costello" in the lower left corner.

This style of decorative landscape oil was commonly produced for the home decor trade in the mid-to-late 20th century, and pieces bearing the Costello signature (in various first-initial forms) show up fairly often in the vintage/decorator art market. We don't have documentation on the individual artist beyond the signature itself, so we're not presenting this as a documented fine-art piece - just a lovely, well-made vintage original with real charm and a lot of presence.

The painting is set in a substantial, deep-molded dark wood frame with a cream linen slip mat, which really gives it a finished, gallery-ready look straight off the wall.
