The cap and barrel carry the six straight engraved lines of the Transatlantique design, and the barrel is Kotibe, a reddish-brown straight-grained African hardwood used for this edition. The cap band is engraved 0109/1847: number 109 of a limited run of 1847.

Two-tone nib, decoratively engraved with the Cartier device, in a fluted metal section. This model is specified with an 18k yellow and white gold nib; the karat stamp is not legible in our photographs, so we describe the nib as consistent with the model specification rather than asserting it from a mark.

Included: the pen and its original red Cartier box. Not included: certificate, booklet or outer packaging.

Condition: very good. The wood is clean with no cracking, chipping or lifting at the joins, and the trim is bright with light handling wear only. See less
