Impeccably crafted in teak, the desk has broad, balanced proportions and a clean elegant form with the restrained design and quality of construction characteristic of sophisticated Scandinavian modern cabinetmaker furniture of the period.

The unique format features a rectangular cabinet raised on a tall open base of straight square legs and stretchers. The large lockable fall front of the desk opens to form a generous writing surface and reveals a fitted interior with open cubby compartments. Two integrated wooden supports pull out from the cabinet front to provide additional support for the desktop when open, a thoughtfully engineered detail. Three dovetailed locking drawers below the fall front provide additional storage space. The desk has all original brass fittings including one working brass key. This elegant cabinet seamlessly blends aesthetics with utility; the perfect secretary writing desk or home office workspace.

CONDITION
