The artist gathers the blossoms in a tight cluster, immediately creating a focal point enhanced through contrast and spatial placement. Grouped together the blossoms appear lush and vibrant. The cool gray‑violet of the background pushes the blooms forward, acting as an artistic foil. The foliage frames the flowers, using darker greens to anchor the composition and guide the eye around the canvas.

George renders the petals with broad, opaque strokes that, frankly, are more artistic than botanically precise. His heavily loaded paintbrush creates a sculptural quality, reminiscent of carved wax. The leaves are painted with directional, energetic marks—flat, angular strokes suggesting movement and growth.

George uses a very controlled palette here—white, yellow, green, against a cool background Gorgeous and elegant. The warm centers of the flowers glow against the cooler petals, giving the blossoms a luminous, almost lantern‑like presence. The interplay of thick impasto and thin washes creates a dynamic surface that rewards close viewing.

This 30" x 40" painting is enhanced by a traditional 3" wooden frame which renders the final measurements as 36 x 46.

This painting is at once, traditional, contemporary, impressionist and realistic. No matter the style, it is simply beautiful See less
