Original coastal painting depicting four figures standing amid breaking ocean waves beneath a muted blue-gray sky. Loosely rendered figures in warm rust, ochre, white, and navy contrast with the cool palette of the surrounding sea.
Expressive, heavily textured brushwork gives the breaking surf considerable movement and dimension, particularly through the whitecaps and foreground waves. The restrained horizon and atmospheric sky balance the more energetic handling of the water.
Presented in a wide rustic wood frame with prominent grain, knots, and natural surface variation. The raw character of the frame complements the painting's informal maritime subject.
