The chest of drawers impresses with its wavy front line, curved legs, decorative geometric inlay and high-quality workmanship made of various types of wood. The front is divided into three rows of drawers, the surfaces of which are decorated with fine inlay with darker lines and decorative cassettes. The top is made of a profiled marble slab in a reddish-brown shade with distinctive white veining. The marble slab has a richly shaped edge and faceting, which underlines the representative character of the furniture. The front drawers are complemented by cast gilded fittings with plant and rococo motifs, which harmoniously matches the overall style of the chest of drawers. The drawers are made of solid oak and equipped with traditional galvanized joints, which is evidence of high-quality craftsmanship. The chest of drawers is suitable as a distinctive solitaire for a historical interior, a castle room, a stylish salon, a bedroom or a representative entrance hall. Thanks to the combination of marquetry, marble and gilded fittings, it has a decorative effect, but at the same time retains its practical use as storage furniture. The condition is good, original. The marble top was restored in the past. No wormholes. Date: around 1900 Dimensions: height 81 cm, width 101 cm, depth 52 cm See less
