Strahm is a widely exhibited living artist and he has won countless awards for his outstanding works. His subtle impressionistic style and wonderful use of color and light give his work a very distinctive look that is extremely hard to achieve.

This gorgeous depiction of the docks off Harbor Island in San Diego, California captures the quiet atmosphere of the marina with moored boats reflected in the water and a soft, hazy California sky. Strahm's restrained palette of blues, greens and grays gives the work a wonderfully serene quality, while flashes of richer color bring the boats and harbor to life.
