Sectional sofa designed by Horst Brüning and manufactured by Kill International in Germany 1970s. This rare sectional sofa is a refined example of German modernist seating from the early 1970s, where sculptural form and industrial precision meet in a highly sophisticated composition. The sofa consists of three individual elements that together create an elegant curved or moon shaped configuration, allowing the piece to define space in a fluid and architectural manner. Each element can also be used separately, offering flexibility without compromising the visual coherence of the design. The silhouette is distinguished by its generous, rounded backrests, which introduce a playful softness to an otherwise rational and structured design language. These cylindrical back supports contrast beautifully with the clean lines of the seat elements and contribute to the sofa’s inviting, almost embracing presence. The upholstery is executed in original grey green leather, carefully tailored with subtle stitching details that emphasize the modular construction and craftsmanship. The leather has developed a gentle patina over time, showing slight age related user signs that enhance its authenticity while remaining in good original condition. The structure is made from high quality matt chrome plated steel, a material choice that underscores both durability and visual lightness. The steel base elevates the sofa from the floor, giving it an elegant floating appearance while maintaining excellent stability. The chrome remains in very good condition, reflecting the high production standards associated with Kill International. The sofa is marked internally on the upholstery with the Kill International label, confirming its origin and originality of the upholstery. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
