georges de marco (1906–1990) was a french painter and alumnus of the école des beaux-arts in paris. Well-regarded for his portraits, still lifes, and idyllic landscapes, he was also actively involved in the parisian art scene as president of the "l'art libre" group and president of the national union of artists.

double-authenticated with the artist’s signature ("g. De marco") clearly legible on the lower right recto, accompanied by the original descriptive paper label affixed to the stretcher on the reverse.

condition: the canvas and pictorial layer are in good vintage condition. Please note that the original wooden frame is in fair/moderate condition, with some separation at the corner joints that would benefit from minor reinforcement.
