Model 19 from Omann Jun is associated with Gunni Omann and combines generous storage with elegant proportions and sculptural details.

The four sliding doors have a fine, vertical grain that gives the front a calm and cohesive expression. Along the edges of the doors run the characteristic handles in solid teak, softly sculpted with long, narrow grips that merge into the shape of the wood. An angled molding frames the entire front and gives the cabinet a beautiful depth.

The sculpted handles and the slightly angled, cone-shaped legs are characteristic of Omann Jun's design. It is carefully crafted details that give the cabinet its distinctive expression and testify to great craftsmanship. The softly rounded transitions of the legs to the frame give the large cabinet a lightness that is particularly appealing together with the warm tone of the teak.

Behind the left sliding door are six shallow drawers in light wood with rounded corners and softly recessed handles. There is plenty of space for small items. Three of the drawers have green felt upholstery.

Behind the other doors are spacious storage compartments with movable and removable shelves. The interior can be easily adapted to suit china, glass and other items. The sliding doors also require no extra space in front of the furniture when opened.

Omann Jun Møbelfabrik was founded by Andreas Omann in Denmark in 1933. The family business is associated with Danish furniture tradition, where the character of the wood and the care for the details are given great importance. This is clearly visible in this cabinet, from the sculpted handles to the well-shaped base.

The cabinet also has a preserved dealer label from Central Møbler Bolighus in Odense – a charming detail that tells something about the history of the furniture.

A magnificent cabinet with plenty of storage and a generous top for a potted plant, a table lamp or a few carefully selected items. Just as nice in the dining area as in the living room!
