The generously proportioned oval glass shade displays a remarkable swirling decoration in white and translucent tones. Areas of dense, textured glass transition into smoother opaline sections, while two delicate gold-toned lines sweep around the body of the shade. The resulting pattern gives the pendant a strong sense of movement and ensures that each viewing angle presents a slightly different composition. When illuminated, the hand-blown glass softly diffuses the light while its layered decoration becomes especially pronounced, producing a warm and atmospheric effect. The pendant embodies the combination of traditional venetian glassmaking and experimental 1970s italian design, with its oversized rounded silhouette particularly suited to mid-century modern, space age and italian modern interiors. The brass elements have been carefully repolished and the pendant has been fitted with new electrical wiring. It uses one e26/e27 bulb and is compatible with us electrical systems. The overall suspension height is currently 95 cm / 37.4 in and can be shortened or extended.
