Striking vintage 1980s Herby wine rack in glossy red painted steel, featuring an instantly recognizable sculptural silhouette of undulating wire bottle supports and clean linear framework.
Designed by Herby and marked with the original embossed HERBY / BESGDO maker’s mark, this substantial rack is documented as having been retailed by Habitat during the 1980s. The design accommodates up to 50 bottles and can be used freestanding or secured to the wall using its integrated mounting brackets.
The bold red finish and rhythmic wavy supports give this piece a distinctly postmodern, Memphis-adjacent character, making it as much a sculptural display piece as functional wine storage. Particularly striking when wall-mounted, where the open construction allows the architecture of the rack itself to become part of the room.
A fantastic statement piece for a vintage bar, dining room, kitchen, wine cellar, or eclectic contemporary interior.
