A rare louis xvi period secretary desk in mahogany with ebony stringing. This exceptionally well-crafted piece (entirely mounted on oak with a bronze trefoil lock) features eleven drawers and a drop-front with three drawers. The writing surface at the fall front is 75 cm high.
the front and rear uprights are fluted and inlaid with brass. A truly rare and exquisite piece for connoisseurs of fine cabinetmaking. The desk has been fully restored using traditional methods. Further information available upon request.
