Today's geographic accuracy rendered in a romantic, old-world cartographic aesthetic. Drawn and painted by hand with India ink and layered with a watercolor wash. Like the cartographers of old, nothing here is computer-generated.

The trade winds take the form of a cherub, filling the sails of old sailing ships while Magnificent Frigatebirds wheel overhead, the sun sets over the Gulf, and a sea monster and mermaids keep watch over the rest.

The chart shows the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, down through the Caribbean archipelago, from the Gulf of Mexico, to the Yucatan Peninsula, and down the east coast of Central America to Isla Mujeres, Ambergris Caye, the Bay Islands of Honduras, south along the coastline to Rio Dulce, and on to the north coast of South America, Isla Margarita and Trinidad.
