As regional hand-loom traditions evolved through the mid-to-late 20th century, master weavers adapted classic flatweaving into a streamlined, modernist idiom characterized by linear minimalism and spatial purity. This contemporary oversized flatweave honors that heritage, distilling classic striping into an airy, unpretentious horizontal sequence scaled for grand interior spaces. Woven from pure hand-spun cotton yarns, the tight plain tapestry weave yields a smooth, low-profile surface that lies completely flat while maintaining a supple, comfortable handle underfoot.
