Mid-20th-century double-sided flanged advertising sign for Nam Jam Factory Ltd. of Hong Kong, promoting the company's Steamship Brand line of flashlights, or torches. The brightly colored lithographed metal sign features a large illustrated cylindrical flashlight against a yellow field, accompanied by bold red and green graphics reading "Quality Torches," "On Sale Here," and "Ask for Steamship Brand." A circular Steamship Brand emblem at the upper corner incorporates an illustrated ocean liner, reinforcing the product's maritime-inspired branding. The projecting flange allowed the sign to mount perpendicular to a storefront or interior wall so the advertising could be viewed from either direction.
