The stone surface sits recessed within a wide walnut frame accented by an intricate, repeating gadroon or egg-and-dart carved border. Below the top, the apron showcases an elaborate diamond crosshatch lattice pattern flanked by elegant, hand-carved flowing scrollwork and a prominent central oval cartouche motif. The table is anchored by prominent cabriole legs that sweep outward from the corners, showcasing raised, carved shell accents at the knees before tapering down to rest on classic scrolled scroll-toe feet. Displaying a rich, warm wood tone with minor, age-appropriate surface finish variations, this beautifully proportioned statement piece is highly versatile, making it excellent for use as a low console, coffee table, accent stand, or a sculptural plant display.
