Named for company founders William and James Yocum, the Y-B brand is promoted through bold period typography and a large illustrated cigar positioned diagonally across a vivid red field. Contrasting cream, black, and yellow lettering and borders give the composition strong visual impact, while the slogan "B-Y's and Buy Y-B's" creates a playful advertising treatment centered on the brand's initials. The colorful graphics and straightforward product imagery exemplify American tobacco point-of-sale advertising of the period.
