Early 20th-century cast iron bull finial originally intended to crown a butcher shop display rack or similar commercial fixture. The substantial figural casting depicts a standing bull in profile with carefully modeled musculature, pronounced shoulders, horns, facial features, and anatomical detailing. The figure is integrally cast above an elongated rectangular mounting base, while openings in the casting relate to its original attachment or fixture function. Combining sculptural animal imagery with utilitarian commercial hardware, the piece offers a distinctive example of early butcher shop and mercantile display decoration.
