This is a charming vintage Chinese porcelain teacup , decorated in the famille rose palette with vibrant polychrome enamels. The cup features a deep, rounded bowl form with a slightly flared rim and a short foot. The exterior is finely painted with a scene from the classic Chinese motif "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove" (竹林七贤), depicting a group of scholars in traditional robes gathered among bamboo, rocks, and grass. One figure is shown playing a guqin (a traditional stringed instrument), while others converse or recline, capturing the spirit of scholarly reclusion and artistic freedom. The reverse side of the cup bears a four-character inscription in black calligraphy reading "竹林七贤" (Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove), accompanied by a small red seal mark. The interior and base are glazed in a smooth, glossy white. The base bears a six-character Qianlong seal mark in underglaze blue reading "大清乾隆年製" (Made in the Great Qing Qianlong Period), indicating it is a vintage revival piece in the Qianlong style. A highly decorative and collectible piece.
