Pair of mid-century modern molded chairs manufactured by the Marbon Division of Borg-Warner Fibermold Corp. of Torrance, California. Formed from Borg-Warner's patented Cycolac material, a durable ABS-type plastic developed for strength, dimensional stability, color retention, and resistance to wear, each chair features a continuous molded shell with an integrated back, seat, and four tapered legs. The vivid yellow finish and sculptural one-piece construction reflect the experimentation with plastics and streamlined forms that defined furniture design during the 1960s. Their compact proportions and arched leg openings create a lightweight visual profile reminiscent of European molded seating designs of the period.
